The story of a girl and her grandmother who meet in a moment of grief. Alma a ten-year old girl living in the United States. Esperanza her 75 year old grandmother living in an indigenous community in the Mexican mountains. The girl and her grandmother have never met before.
We’re really excited about the line up. This a short-list of some of the films in each section. There are 42 films including shorts from 16 countries. Shorts are paired with some feature films and others are part of a program. There are several shorts programs including: Made in San Francisco, Not So Short Shorts, and shorts programs at alternative venues like the Red Poppy Art House and Galeria de La Raza.
