GUTEN TAG RAMON (Good Day, Ramon) Sunday July 19 5pm at the Brava Theater in San Franicsco.
Free screening. Reserve your ticket. Arrive early. http://bit.ly/Ramon_CMSF
Buen día, Ramón tells the story of Ramón (Kristyan Ferrer, 18), a young man from a small northern Mexican town who has tried, unsuccessfully, to cross the US border five times. Back home he refuses to become a criminal. Instead, he decides to travel to Germany and contact a friend’s aunt but his plans go awry when he can’t find her. He struggles to survive on the streets, not properly prepared for the harsh weather and carrying practically no money, until he meets Ruth (IngeborgSchöner, 80), a retired and lonely woman. Moving beyond language barriers and prejudices, they develop an amazing friendship.
