Days of Grace & Other Latin American Films- SF Indie Fest

San Francisco Indie Fest is a quiceañera! That’s right! Celebrating 15 years of edgy independent film and fun parties, the festival opens at the Brava Theater on February 7th and runs through February 21st at The Roxie, Shattuck Cinemas, and others.

We’re excited to be co-presenting Days of Grace/Dias de Gracia, the centerpiece film, which is making its US premiere. Read more about this and other Latin American films in this year’s program:

THE LAST ELVIS, a film by Armando Bo – Roxie Theater in San Francisco, Sunday 2/10 at 9:30PM and Tuesday 2/12 at 9:30. (Opening Night Film)
– Carlos Gutiérrez (Elvis) is a divorced singer with a young daugther called Lisa Marie which he almost never see. He has always lived his life as if he was the reincarnation of Elvis Presley. In denial of Carlos and his reality. But he is about to turn the age Elvis had when he died and the future appears empty. An unexpected situation will force Carlos to take care of his daughter. This will allow him to find himself as a father and Lisa to accept him as he is. But destiny confronts Carlos with a difficult decision. FACELESS, a film by Tristan Albrecht – Roxie Theater in San Francisco, Sunday 2/17 at 5PM and Monday 2/18 at 7:15PM.
– Thousands of people died buried in the structures of the Twin Towers. Entire families suffering the lost of a loved one can do nothing else but to cry a name written under a picture.However, some families cannot even have this mourning. Fathers, mothers, children, and friends from illegal workers suffer their lost in the painful silence imposed by their situation. These families have lost the ones that we called: FACELESS. THE INTERNATIONAL SIGN FOR CHOKING, a film by Zach Weintraub – Roxie Theater in San Francisco, Saturday 2/9 at 7:15PM and Thursday 2/14 at 9:30PM.
– A would-be expatriate from the US takes his second stab at life in Buenos Aires. Watch as he drifts between halfhearted attempts at work, a feeble romance with his fellow N. American housemate, and the fruitless search for a mysteriously absent ex-girlfriend. Buy tickets.
